Our Story

The Dream Puff Bakery began with a dream, a love of baking, and a little pastry puff named Gigi.Created by a children’s author and illustrator from North West London, Dream Puff first appeared as a storybook character; a hollow choux puff setting off on a journey to become filled with love. She was later named Gigi, after my Nana G.

 

Baking has been part of my life since childhood, but everything changed in 2025 when my Nana G visited from Antigua for her 89th birthday. A professional baker herself, she asked me to bake her a simple vanilla sponge cake. When I placed the fresh cake in front of her, she gently rested her hand on top and said:

“You must sell what you bake.”

Something about the way she said it stayed with me. One month later, The Dream Puff Bakery was born.Today, every Dream Puff dessert is inspired by comfort, nostalgia, fun and joy, with hand-drawn cartoon menus, dreamy flavours and sweet treats designed to make people smile and maybe even do a little happy dance.
